The drum artisans at Mapex match the finest, thinnest plies of North American Maple with a selection of dark, rich walnut. The result is a beautifully hand crafted drum with a remarkably wide tonal range. The Saturn is exacting enough for any and all studio applications and has been thoroughly road tested by nearly every professional artist on the Mapex roster. The shells are 6 plies. 4 Outer plies are maple with 2 inner plies of walnut.

Saturn drums come with chrome hardware by default but can be fitted with black plated hardware for a small additional cost upon request.
