Gel backing provides additional protection between your drums and the floor. Storing this mat is also simple - it folds in half, and then rolls up into a compact package. The reinforced hinged design allows the mat to fold and roll to a compact 8 x 33 inch size for easy transport and storage. It will not come unraveled because of the snap lock quick release handle. Less is more, especially when you have to carry all of your drums along with this mat.
