The lethal combination of 6 plies of 100% Maple free-floating in a super lightweight aircraft Aluminum frame creates a force to be reckoned with on the field. The 2 ply Maple reinforcement rings provide solid shell stability and shape integrity. This in turn promotes optimal head seating and consistent tuning, so crank em down and tune em up.
The FFX marching snare drum will take it. 16 Strand Synthetic Gut Snares offer a tremendous advantage over the competition by offering a larger contact area with the bottom head. This in turn provides increased sensitivity at lower playing levels and dramatic power as volume increases. The individual strands are also removable, offering the widest tuning range of any drum on the market.
Pearl Championship Series Snare Drums (old or new) will work with either Randall May Carriers or the New Pearl Air Frame Carriers. These drums are available Brushed Silver, Pure White, and Midnight Black. Other colors as well as chrome hardware and black powder coated hardware are available upon request (additional costs apply).

Pearl Marching drums come stocked in three popular, ready-to-go finishes: Brushed Silver, Pure White, and Midnight Black. Pearl has over a dozen special-order covered and lacquered finishes (additional cost), such as:
Wine Red, Walnut Lacquer, Black Mist, Teal Blue, Emerald Mist, Antique Gold, Midnight Fade, Silver Sparkle lacquer, Black-Silver Burst, Cranberry Fade, and Marine Blue Fade.
Pearl also offers special-order Powder Coating colors for the hardware on the drum. Hardware colors such as Black, White, Blue, Yellow, Red, Green, Orange, and Purple are available upon request (additional cost).
