Shane Fowlkes
Owner, Occasional Instructor
Teaching specializes in rudimental, hand technique, drumset and bass drum technique, site reading, drum corp and
marching, rock, funk, jazz, and latin drumset styles. Shane tries to play out in public every blue moon when he can.
He has been playing for over 26 years and pretends to have a clue.
He's the one insane enough to start this business.

Dave Brown
Assistant Manager
Dave is the latest edition to the Just Drums family. Dave often takes phone orders, schedules lessons,
and jumps in when we're all swamped. Dave is not Gregg Bissonette in the photo...but the creepy guy on the right.

Ryan Taylor
Ryan's responsibilities are cleaning up Shane's mess and making sure everything runs smoothly.
Ryan is a great asset to Just Drums.
Ryan is off and away at ODU but comes back and helps out on his breaks.
Ryan is the original "Da Man".

Web Development, Sales
Ed manages the web site, eBay store, and assists with sales in the showroom.

Scott Milliron
Instructor
Scott specializes in multiple drumset styles, session and studio work, tuning, and
occasional child psychology. Scott often plays out downtown Richmond at the Tobacco Company and a few other
establishments. Scott been playing for over 26 years and teaching for over 11 years.

Adam Young
Instructor
Over 20 years of playing experience with 11 years of teaching. Adam is a busy working musician - constantly performing
or recording with multiple local bands. He often plays at The National, The Canal Club, and other popular venues.
Adam is highly experienced with many drumset styles and fundamental snare
drum techniques.

Chris Thomas
Instructor
Chris Thomas holds a Bachelor of Music Education from Central Michigan University and a Master of Music in
Performance from Northwestern University. He is also state-licensed to teach K-12 instrumental music.
Chris has over 24 years of experience teaching private lessons, high school/university marching and concert
percussion groups. His performance experience includes several professional orchestras,
jazz groups, musicals and as a clinician. Chris teaches Snare/Drumset; Mallets; Marching and Latin Percussion.
Chris currently teaches at Midlothian High School and Longwood University.
